Conventional blanking is the most versatile blanking procedure.
Thanks to the combined use of feeding lines, presses and dies, all
sorts of different mechanical components can be manufactured, such
as bearing plates, closed boxes with bending and riveting, small
drawn components, large and complex shaped plates complete with
bending and threading.
Today, this technology has become so sophisticated that unprecedented
operations, which were unthinkable of only a few years ago, have
now become feasible.
It is now possible to make use of independent threading, drilling
and bending units, in synchrony with the machine cycle. It is also
possible to use state-of-the-art machines equipped with special
kinematic mechanisms and further auxiliary equipment, such as air
cushions, hydraulic cylinders, powerful gas springs.
The factors that make this technology extremely competitive are
cost-effectiveness and repeatability induced by full automation
and low costs of equipment manufacturing.
